Senior Communications Leader (Robotics)

What you will do

• Serve as the CEO's day-to-day communications partner, preparing briefing documents, media preparation, talking points, and messaging.
• Develop and execute an earned media strategy across podcasts, business and technology press, and conference stages.
• Own the CEO's editorial output, including op-eds, public statements, and investor-facing communications.
• Build the company's messaging architecture, narrative positioning, media relations, press materials, and crisis communications framework.
• Design internal communications infrastructure, including all-hands formats, leadership updates, newsletters, and company-wide announcements.
• Partner with leadership, finance, legal, HR, People Ops, and Rivian's communications team on fundraising, product launches, operator deployments, and employee communications.

Requirements

• 8–12+ years of communications experience, including significant in-house experience at a technology company.
• Director-level or equivalent experience with executive communications for a founder-CEO or senior leader with an active public profile.
• Strong relationships across technology and business media; podcast producer and digital media contacts are advantageous.
• Exceptional writing skills across press releases, executive narratives, internal memos, and editorial content.
• Ability to own a communications function end-to-end, create structure from ambiguity, and operate without a team.
• Experience in deep tech, robotics, automotive, or adjacent industries is preferred.
