TL;DR
Simulator Technician (Aerospace): Maintaining and troubleshooting flight simulators and associated systems in office, on-site, and field environments with an accent on preventive maintenance, diagnostics, visual adjustments, and qualification testing. Focus on resolving system-level technical issues, supporting simulator refurbishment and hardware modifications, and maintaining simulator readiness for customer operations.

Location: Gagetown, Canada; on-site, office, and field work may be required

What you will do

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on simulators and associated systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve routine technical issues across multiple simulator platforms using testing and diagnostic equipment.
  • Complete pre-flight and post-flight checks, visual alignments, configurations, and Qualification Test Guide evaluations.
  • Document maintenance activities, test results, repairs, and validation work in the maintenance management system.
  • Support simulator refurbishment projects, hardware modifications, logistics activities, and technical services projects.
  • Train technicians on foundational technical skills and maintenance procedures while providing customer support.

Requirements

  • Two-year technical diploma or equivalent education and technical training.
  • At least three years of direct simulator experience, including one year relevant to the assigned location.
  • Experience troubleshooting simulator systems to the system level across multiple platforms.
  • Ability to perform preventive maintenance, pre-flight and post-flight checks, visual adjustments, and configurations.
  • Fluent English and eligibility to obtain and maintain Secret Level Canadian Security Clearance and Canadian Controlled Goods Program clearance are required.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada as a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or holder of a valid work permit.

Nice to have

  • Previous aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Experience with simulation devices and training systems.
