Manufacturing Science & Technology (MSAT) Scientist (Chromatography Manufacturing)

Location: US-DE-Newport; onsite manufacturing role with 10% travel and a day shift.

Salary: $124,160–$194,000 per year, plus eligibility for bonus, stock, and benefits.

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership for chromatography particle synthesis, modification, stationary phase chemistry, and manufacturing technologies.
• Lead scale-up, technology transfer, process validation, New Product Introduction, and commercial launch of new particle and stationary phase technologies.
• Optimize manufacturing processes and resolve complex challenges involving particle synthesis, surface chemistry, quality, yield, and performance.
• Develop manufacturing strategies, technical roadmaps, investment priorities, standards, and best practices.
• Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Product Management while mentoring scientists.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, Surface Science, Colloid Science, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Extensive technical expertise and leadership in particle manufacturing, materials science, or chromatography technologies.
• Deep expertise in particle synthesis, particle modification, surface chemistry, porous materials, chromatography media, materials processing, or chemical manufacturing technology.
• Experience scaling technologies from research and development through commercial manufacturing and leading NPI programs.

Nice to have

• Experience moving particle technologies from laboratory and pilot operations into commercial manufacturing.
• Experience developing manufacturing control strategies for complex chemical or materials synthesis processes.
• Track record of bringing innovative materials technologies from concept through successful commercial launch.
