Senior Security Engineer (AI/LLM)

Location: Remote from California, United States

Base pay: $102,800–$190,204 annual in the United States, plus possible incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Design, build, operate, and automate security controls across Azure, GCP, and on-premises environments.
• Develop tested and maintainable Python services, API integrations, and security automation.
• Build AI/LLM-assisted workflows for alert enrichment, investigations, and documentation retrieval with evaluation and human oversight.
• Deploy repeatable security infrastructure using Terraform or equivalent infrastructure-as-code tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform threat modeling, security design reviews, remediation prioritization, and vulnerability management.
• Troubleshoot security services, support on-call operations, and turn incidents into durable reliability improvements.

Requirements

• 8+ years of security engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience securing Azure and GCP environments, including identity, networking, logging, and workload security.
• Strong Python skills with experience building, testing, deploying, and supporting automation or integrations.
• Practical experience integrating AI/LLMs into tools or workflows, including model APIs, retrieval-augmented generation, evaluation, output validation, and bounded permissions.
• Knowledge of network security, infrastructure as code, Git, CI/CD, Linux, macOS, Windows, vulnerability management, encryption, and secrets management.
• Ability to communicate technical findings clearly, own operational outcomes, and collaborate across security, IT, cloud, and development teams.
