Principal Application & Product Architect

Location: London, Canada Square, United Kingdom. Applicants may be required to appear onsite at a hirify.global office during the recruitment process.

The role supports applications across the Corporate and Health divisions.

What you will do

• Lead architectural initiatives across multiple product teams and product domains.
• Design and evolve large-scale customer-facing SaaS and internal product platforms.
• Translate product strategy and requirements into practical, scalable, secure architecture.
• Define architectural standards, reference patterns, and shared platform approaches.
• Write code, review pull requests, build prototypes, and validate architectural decisions through implementation.
• Mentor senior engineers and technical leads while leading architecture reviews and cross-team execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Expertise in cloud-native architecture using Azure, AWS, or GCP, including microservices, modular monoliths, and event-driven patterns.
• Experience with API-first and contract-driven design, distributed systems, data-intensive systems, and enterprise integrations.
• Strong knowledge of identity, data protection, secrets management, threat modeling, compliance, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
• Hands-on experience with modern programming languages and frameworks such as C#, Python, or TypeScript.
• Ability to lead through influence, communicate architectural trade-offs, and mentor technical leaders across multiple teams.
