AI COE Manager

Location: East Peoria, Illinois or Irving, Texas; onsite five days a week

Salary: $159,120.00–$258,570.00 per year

What you will do

• Lead and coordinate an AI Center of Excellence team building generative AI solutions, intelligent agents, and digital assistants.
• Provide technical direction and align AI engineering work with company goals.
• Manage resources, schedules, and delivery quality for enterprise-scale AI projects.
• Oversee individual and team performance while identifying training and development needs.
• Establish engineering best practices and ensure robust, reliable software products.
• Lead complex cross-functional projects in agile, matrixed organizations.

Requirements

• Extensive software engineering leadership experience with AI and software teams.
• Experience delivering GenAI solutions and enterprise products across hybrid cloud and embedded or edge environments.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, scalable system design, APIs, microservices, cloud and edge architectures, CI/CD, testing, deployments, and incident management.
• Working knowledge of Azure, AWS, GCP, on-premises AI clusters, and Snowflake Cortex.
• Deep knowledge of GenAI system design, prompt engineering, agentic orchestration, vector databases, RAG, fine-tuning, LLMs, SLMs, speech, multimodal, and real-time models.
• Experience with AI evaluation, benchmarking, model selection, optimization, A/B testing, and human-in-the-loop validation.

Nice to have

• Experience with LangChain and LangGraph.
• Familiarity with MCP and A2A protocols.
