Corporate Affairs Industrial Placement (Healthcare/Public Affairs): Supporting government affairs and corporate communications activities across healthcare, politics, stakeholder engagement, media, and internal communications with an accent on monitoring policy developments, preparing clear messaging, and supporting events. Focus on engaging stakeholders, tracking healthcare and political developments, contributing to public affairs work, and communicating relevant updates across the business.
Location: Reading, United Kingdom; hybrid work with 3 days per week in the Reading office

What you will do
- Support political and stakeholder engagement activities within Corporate Government Affairs.
- Monitor political, policy, healthcare, and media developments and share relevant updates with the business.
- Contribute to public affairs activities across healthcare and specific therapy areas.
- Support internal communications, events, and meetings.
- Help maintain ’s corporate messaging across healthcare, life sciences, and medicines.
Requirements
- Genuine interest in healthcare, politics, communications, media relations, public affairs, or stakeholder engagement.
- Studying Politics, Health, PR and Communications, Media Relations, or a related subject; other degrees demonstrating strong writing and communication skills are also relevant.
- Returning to university after completing the 12-month placement.
- Fluent English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good organisational skills, attention to detail, teamwork, and initiative.
