Corporate Communications Specialist (Sustainability)

Location: Providence, Rhode Island, United States; hybrid schedule with in-office attendance at the Downtown Providence office two to three days per week

Salary: $59,795–$122,400 estimated starting compensation range

What you will do

• Develop communications plans and execute campaigns for sustainability achievements, certifications, and annual initiatives.
• Support communications for the annual Brightstar Sustainability Report.
• Draft news releases for the Global Lottery business and sustainability achievements.
• Develop public relations and communications activities for global lottery products and solutions, including iLottery and Instant Ticket Printing.
• Build awareness of Brightstar’s sustainability leadership and incorporate the Sustainable Play brand across social media, websites, editorials, and awards programs.
• Support corporate website and intranet content, and improve processes for publishing company facts and data.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related discipline.
• 6+ years of experience in public relations, marketing communications, or corporate communications.
• Understanding of sustainability, ESG, and corporate communications fundamentals.
• Experience with media relations, strategic communications, project collaboration, and working across geographies.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Availability to work in-office at the Downtown Providence office two to three days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience using AI in innovative or efficient ways to achieve communications objectives.
• Interest in sustainability initiatives and ESG criteria.
