Senior Solutions Architect (Pre-sales) - Life Sciences

Location: Hybrid role based in Amsterdam, Netherlands

What you will do

• Drive technical and consumption strategy for complex life sciences customer engagements, influencing platform adoption and revenue growth.
• Own senior-level technical relationships and advise executives and technical champions on enterprise data and AI strategy.
• Lead architecture engagements involving multi-workload platforms, enterprise migrations, real-time systems, and AI/ML at scale.
• Design and guide GenAI and agentic AI workflows, including Agent Bricks, AI Functions, and LLMOps.
• Coordinate Delivery and Specialist Solutions Architects, partners, and Product teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and architects while contributing customer-facing content, workshops, and field engineering thought leadership.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in solutions architecture, principal engineering, or technical pre-sales leadership across global or cross-region enterprise accounts.
• Hands-on coding proficiency in Python and SQL; Spark or PySpark is preferred.
• Deep expertise in distributed systems, streaming and real-time architectures, lakehouse design, data governance, and cloud-native platforms.
• Expert knowledge of Databricks or another modern data and AI platform, with the ability to learn rapidly.
• Executive presence and experience influencing Directors, VPs, and C-level stakeholders on data and AI strategy, value-based selling, and competitive evaluations.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Databricks certifications or experience at Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, Google, Microsoft, or another leading data and AI company.
• Healthcare and Life Sciences or pharmaceutical industry expertise, including GxP experience.
• Published thought leadership, conference talks, or open-source contributions.
