What you will do
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and inspections on mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical wind turbine systems.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair technical faults on customer equipment to minimize downtime.
- Complete basic commissioning, component integration, quality checks, and performance and safety testing.
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers and document service visits, maintenance activities, and work orders.
- Maintain records of parts and tools, support service planning, and identify potential service opportunities.
- Follow Environment, Health, and Safety regulations and site-specific operating procedures.
Requirements
- Secondary or vocational education in Electricity, Electromechanics, or a related technical field.
- At least 2 years of experience as a wind technician, field service technician, or in a similar role.
- Skills in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, mechanical systems, hydraulics, electrical equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
- Knowledge of report writing, Environment, Health, and Safety, SCADA, and quality control.
- Strong communication, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Must work on site in the United States, including the Deer Grove, Illinois location or other assigned US locations.
