SysOps Engineer (AWS)

Location: Athens, Greece; hybrid working model

What you will do

• Administer and troubleshoot Linux systems, including users, packages, upgrades, storage, services, and firewalls.
• Operate infrastructure across AWS, on-premises, and virtualized environments.
• Automate configuration, deployments, backups, and operational tasks using Ansible and Bash.
• Support GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, and Docker Compose environments.
• Manage monitoring, databases, and performance platforms including Elasticsearch, Kibana, APM, MongoDB, MySQL, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Support OpenStack and big data platforms, investigate incidents, improve reliability, and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

• BSc degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in systems administration, SysOps, DevOps, or a similar role.
• Strong Linux administration, Ansible, and Bash scripting experience.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, on-premises infrastructure, virtualization or private cloud environments.
• Experience with GitLab, CI/CD, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, MySQL, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Good understanding of networking, security, backups, high availability, troubleshooting, teamwork, and operational incident response.
