Azure Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Athens, Attica, Greece; hybrid workplace

What you will do

• Administer Azure-hosted virtual machines, storage, backup, disaster recovery, and identity infrastructure.
• Deploy and operate Azure SQL Databases, including performance monitoring, index management, query tuning, and capacity planning.
• Design and maintain backup, replication, and geo-failover configurations aligned with RTO/RPO targets.
• Develop PowerShell or Python automation for IT and database operations.
• Manage Azure Monitor, Log Analytics workspaces, diagnostic settings, and alerting.
• Support migrations, schema changes, compliance activities, audits, and Tier 2/3 incident resolution.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in similar roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or Azure Database Administrator Associate (DP-300), or active pursuit of one of these certifications.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, SSO, MFA, PIM, Conditional Access, enterprise identity management, and Azure networking.
• Hands-on Azure SQL Database experience, including backup and restore strategies, performance tuning, capacity planning, and basic T-SQL.
• Good written and spoken English is required. Strong analytical, communication, documentation, incident ownership, and collaboration skills are also expected.
