Software Engineer (Python/React)

What you will do

• Build and maintain backend services, versioned REST APIs, and MCP servers used by hirify.global products and internal teams.
• Develop Python services with Django and FastAPI, as well as React and TypeScript applications for data-heavy tools and dashboards.
• Design ClickHouse data models, materialized views, aggregations, calculated columns, schema migrations, and performance optimizations.
• Build data pipelines and scheduled jobs that transform data across services and cloud storage.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and role-based access control for services and APIs.
• Deploy code to Kubernetes on Azure and AWS using Helm charts, CI pipelines, and GitOps, while maintaining tests, typed clients, and API contracts.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software development experience with production work across backend and frontend.
• Strong Python and hands-on experience with Django or FastAPI.
• Solid TypeScript and React experience, including state management and data fetching for data-heavy interfaces.
• Good SQL skills and understanding of analytical workloads; experience with ClickHouse or another columnar database is beneficial.
• Familiarity with containers, Kubernetes, Helm charts, deployment logs, pod status, Git, CI/CD, and automated testing.
• Clear written communication in English and the ability to work with product teams and non-engineering stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with API versioning, SLAs, backward-compatible changes, and services used by other teams.
• Background in multi-tenant SaaS with strong data isolation and security requirements.
• Experience with materialized views, aggregation pipelines, or data warehouse modeling.
• Experience with LLM tooling, MCP servers, or AI coding assistants.
• Experience with Apache Arrow, Parquet, or Redis-compatible caching layers.
