Product Manager (Payments)

What you will do

• Own the vision and roadmap for the shared payments backend and client integration surfaces, including hosted pages, SDKs, embedded components, and APIs.
• Map requirements across internal clients and evolve the platform for a growing range of payment use cases.
• Partner with engineering to sequence a high-impact roadmap with clear milestones.
• Prioritize competing needs, communicate trade-offs, and improve the end-to-end client adoption experience.
• Coordinate PSP and bank integrations so they can be reused across Payward businesses.
• Define success metrics covering launch speed, platform adoption, rail availability, and payment success rates while incorporating compliance, risk, and legal requirements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product management experience, preferably in platform, API, or infrastructure products.
• Working knowledge of pay-ins, payouts, PSPs, acquirers, ACH, SEPA, Faster Payments, SWIFT, and local payment methods.
• Strong technical fluency, including the ability to read RFCs, challenge architecture decisions, and write API specifications.
• Experience launching developer-facing APIs, SDKs, or embeddable UI components.
• Clear technical writing, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to build alignment without direct authority.
• Comfort using data to set goals and measure platform adoption and performance.

Nice to have

• Experience at a PSP, payment orchestrator, or payments infrastructure company.
• Background with multi-tenant SaaS or B2B2C platforms.
• Familiarity with crypto, stablecoins, or on/off-ramps.
• Experience working across regulated legal entities or licensing regimes.
