Associate, Primary (Private Equity)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid work arrangement. The role provides 18 remote workdays per quarter subject to manager approval.

What you will do

• Perform due diligence on Private Equity, Growth Equity, and Venture Capital managers and fund opportunities.
• Prepare performance, benchmarking, and portfolio company underwriting analyses, conduct independent research, and participate in manager diligence meetings.
• Source and evaluate new fund opportunities and develop investment theses for senior professionals.
• Prepare diligence materials and present opportunities to the global Investment Committee.
• Monitor primary fund investments through manager meetings, annual meetings, reports, and portfolio update calls.
• Prepare industry research, market updates, client meeting materials, and support the initial assessment of direct equity, credit, and secondary opportunities.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of professional experience in private equity, asset management, manager research, investment consulting, investment banking, or related financial services.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Strong knowledge of private equity markets and financial expertise.
• Deep experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, build relationships with stakeholders, and demonstrate leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and demonstrated interest in primary fund investing.
