TL;DR
Network Engineer (Cisco/F5): Supporting and securing the datacenter network infrastructure underpinning international hosted services with an accent on Cisco and F5 equipment, routing, firewalls, load balancing, VPNs, and 24x7 operations. Focus on designing and deploying resilient network solutions, developing disaster recovery and fail-over plans, maintaining security compliance, and automating service improvements.

What you will do
- Support, administer, monitor, and secure the datacenter network infrastructure underpinning hosted services.
- Design, build, deploy, document, and operationally accept network solutions for hosting environments.
- Monitor service levels, capacity, availability, and performance, resolving incidents and negative trends within agreed timelines.
- Develop, implement, and test disaster recovery and network fail-over plans.
- Collaborate with architects, project managers, customers, suppliers, and delivery teams on network solutions and in-life services.
- Provide 24x7 hosting operations support and identify opportunities for automation, performance, and efficiency improvements.
Requirements
- Minimum CCNP with routing and switching or security certification.
- Hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting Cisco Nexus switches, Cisco ASA firewalls, F5 LTM, and DNS load balancers in datacenter environments.
- Strong network design and management skills, including firewall rules, dynamic routing, load balancing, intrusion detection and prevention, remote access, and site-to-site VPNs.
- Practical experience with ITIL processes in a 24x7 operations environment with strict SLA and security compliance requirements.
- Experience with Cisco Nexus and ASR platforms, NX-OS, IOS/IOS XE, BGP, OSPF, VRF, VPC, HSRP, STP, logging, and Layer 3 switching.
- Experience with Cisco ASA/IPS/ASAv, IPsec and AnyConnect SSL VPNs, NAT, ACLs, and F5 LTM/GTM, including route domains, partitions, pools, nodes, iRules, DNS management, and GLB.
Nice to have
- Service monitoring and alerting knowledge, preferably with Nagios or Cacti.
- Configuration management knowledge, preferably with Puppet.
- Experience managing third-party vendors such as F5 and Cisco.
- Strong client relationship management, communication, presentation, problem-solving, flexibility, motivation, and teamwork skills.
