People Operations Lead

Location: Berlin, Germany; hybrid work with office attendance a few days each week

What you will do

• Partner with managers and team leads across EMEA and the US to support team growth, performance, and employee development.
• Own the employee lifecycle from offers and onboarding through development and offboarding, working with Employer of Record providers.
• Advise managers and employees on people-related matters in a global, cross-cultural environment.
• Lead and improve performance reviews, feedback cycles, goal setting, and talent planning.
• Coach managers through complex employee relations, organizational, and performance challenges.
• Build scalable, compliant people policies and initiatives that improve engagement, culture, and employee experience.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in HR Business Partner, People Operations, or a similar role.
• Experience supporting globally distributed teams and understanding US employment practices and work culture.
• Experience managing global employment through Employer of Record providers, including onboarding, lifecycle management, and compliance.
• Experience in a high-growth startup or another fast-paced environment, with the ability to work across multiple time zones.
• Native-level English fluency in written and spoken communication.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, coaching, judgment, emotional intelligence, and problem-solving skills.
