Sourcing Engineer (Electronics and RF)

Location: Tampere, Finland. Hybrid working model with remote work possible 2–3 days per week when business needs allow; higher on-site presence is expected during the first months. The role includes 10–20% domestic and international travel.

hirify.global is a defence and security company working across air, land and naval defence, civil security and commercial aerospace. The Tampere site develops electronic warfare systems within the Surveillance business area.

What you will do

• Manage sourcing categories for projects and production throughout the product lifecycle.
• Assess supplier competitiveness, capability, capacity and risk exposure.
• Develop long-term relationships with current and potential suppliers.
• Lead RFQs, quotation evaluations, commercial negotiations and supplier agreement management.
• Monitor component availability, lead times, pricing, market trends and obsolescence risks.
• Drive cost efficiency, supplier development and supply-chain resilience while ensuring compliance with sourcing policies.

Requirements

• University degree in Engineering, Economics, Supply Chain Management or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience in strategic sourcing, procurement or supplier management.
• Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Excellent written and spoken Finnish and English.
• Experience analysing sourcing, supplier or commercial data using Excel or similar tools.
• Approved security clearance under the Finnish Security Clearance Act and a drug test are required.

Nice to have

• Experience sourcing FPGAs, RF components, RF modules, GNSS/INS modules or other technically demanding electronics.
• Knowledge of electronics-component availability, long lead times, lifecycle management and obsolescence.
• Experience with ERP systems such as IFS.
• Experience using AI-powered tools for efficiency, data analysis or sourcing.
• Background in electronics, high technology, aerospace or defence, with technical understanding of RF technologies or embedded systems.
