TL;DR
Staff Software Engineer in Test (Mobile) (Mobile/iOS/Android): Shaping quality architecture, reliability strategy, and release confidence across APIs, native mobile clients, and deployment pipelines with an accent on testability, quality gates, and cross-team engineering standards. Focus on controlling device and OS fragmentation, reducing flakiness, mentoring engineers, and defining responsible AI-assisted quality workflows.
Location: Remote options in Poland; office address in Warsaw, Poland

What you will do
- Set the quality and reliability strategy across API, contract, iOS, and Android layers.
- Design testability practices, release quality gates, deployment pipeline controls, and coverage for device and operating-system fragmentation.
- Improve backend and mobile quality, resolve cross-team reliability issues, and contribute hands-on prototypes, tooling, and reference implementations.
- Shift quality ownership into the engineering workflow, mentor senior engineers, and lead technical change across development teams.
- Define quality metrics and gates, analyze trends, and communicate engineering risks in business terms.
- Establish responsible AI-assisted engineering and testing workflows, including governance, data-security standards, risk management, and ROI reporting.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience at Staff, Principal, Tech Lead, or Architect level, with impact across multiple teams.
- Commercial experience testing native iOS or Android applications and setting measurable quality and reliability standards.
- Strong hands-on engineering skills, including reading, reviewing, and writing production-quality code.
- Experience with shift-left quality practices and leading technical or process change directly with development teams.
- Fluent English required.
- Hands-on experience using AI in engineering and assessing its risks.
Nice to have
- BrowserStack, GitLab CI/CD, snapshot testing, and mock-based testing experience.
- Experience in logistics or e-commerce.
- Fluency in Polish.
- Appium familiarity, AI-assisted engineering or testing experience, or ISTQB Advanced Level certification in Test Automation Engineering.
