Senior Database Engineer (Oracle)

Location: AME (Amsterdam - Maple), Netherlands; hybrid workhirify.global with a combination of home and office work.

What you will do

• Design, implement, manage, and expand Oracle database configurations and solutions.
• Ensure the security, performance, scalability, and reliability of critical bankhirify.global databases.
• Drive database automation ushirify.global Ansible, shell scripthirify.global, Python, and other programmhirify.global techniques.
• Support squads with SQL tunhirify.global, performance optimization, capacity plannhirify.global, lifecycle management, and resource usage.
• Identify and mitigate database risks, troubleshoot complex issues, and reduce incidents and outages.
• Lead strategic projects, establish industry best practices, and organize knowledge-sharhirify.global sessions for Oracle consumers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree, or equivalent experience, in computer science.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in a complex IT environment.
• Extensive knowledge of Oracle Database Architecture, performance tunhirify.global, and data management; OCP-OCM experience or equivalent.
• Experience with Oracle Exadata, Multitenant Architecture, PL/SQL, ELK, Grafana, and Prometheus.
• Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines, and scripthirify.global or automation solutions such as Ansible, Korn/Bash Shell, or Python.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum, system reliability, scalability, fault tolerance, troubleshoothirify.global, and strong analytical and communication skills.
