Senior Chemist - Chemical Process Development (CPD)

What you will do

• Design and develop technically feasible, cost-efficient, and scalable chemical processes for industrial production.
• Define experimental programs and manage structured, data-driven research activities.
• Plan, oversee, analyze, and report laboratory experiments.
• Implement technologies for scaling processes from laboratory to industrial production.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support process transfer to manufacturing.
• Manage multiple research projects, resolve critical cases, communicate with stakeholders, and maintain safety, health, and environmental compliance.

Requirements

• Master's degree in organic chemistry, polymer chemistry, or a related field; a PhD is an asset.
• Hands-on laboratory experience with a proactive, organized, and data-driven approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Curiosity and motivation to deepen expertise in process technologies and chemical synthesis.
• Fluent Dutch and English, or willingness to learn Dutch.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for short periods, approximately 10%.

Nice to have

• Experience with reaction calorimetry.
• PhD in a relevant chemistry field.
