Senior Software Engineer (CDMX)

Location: Mexico City, with candidates based in Guadalajara or CDMX; currently fully remote with a planned transition to hybrid

hirify.global is a Series C fintech building an AI-powered financial platform for Latinos in the US, combining conversational interfaces with real-time infrastructure for remittances and other financial services.

What you will do

• Architect and implement scalable backend microservices for the Payments, Disbursements, or GRC squad.
• Build secure systems for fund collection, transaction processing, beneficiary disbursements, user onboarding, KYC, and compliance.
• Design infrastructure capable of handling millions of daily requests with strong security, reliability, and performance.
• Integrate Google Cloud services and maintain distributed systems using industry-standard infrastructure tools.
• Collaborate with product, operations, compliance, and other business functions to deliver financial products.
• Mentor junior developers, promote engineering best practices, and improve platform capabilities through analytics and user feedback.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent or advanced English.
• Experience building, shipping, and iterating on software applications, preferably in fintech.
• Strong algorithms and data structures fundamentals, plus experience designing web services and REST APIs.
• Knowledge of Hexagonal Architecture, Event-Driven Architecture, A/B testing, feature flags, and gradual rollouts.
• Experience or knowledge related to payment systems, financial disbursements, compliance, security, and KYC/AML processes.

Nice to have

• Experience with payment, disbursement, or compliance-driven platforms.
• Curiosity or experience in fintech and equivalent competencies in related areas.
