What you will do
- Serve as a Japan medical scientific contact for healthcare professionals, medical societies, regulators, academia, and other external stakeholders.
- Provide unbiased scientific and medical information and support the safe, effective, and appropriate use of assigned products.
- Identify unmet medical needs and healthcare disparities in amyloidosis and develop customer-facing medical plans with office medical stakeholders.
- Conduct scientific exchanges, advisory boards, educational seminars, medical materials development, and data-generation initiatives.
- Generate and communicate medical insights, including real-world evidence, non-interventional studies, database studies, and registries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on medical strategy, clinical research, investigator-sponsored research, grants, safety reporting, and critical supply issues.
Requirements
- Four-year university degree and a master’s degree in life science, or qualifying pharmacist, nurse, veterinarian, dentist, or MD credentials.
- Medical or pharmaceutical expertise in the relevant therapeutic area and the ability to discuss scientific topics with HCPs and internal stakeholders.
- Experience in medical affairs, development, research, medical science liaison work, or clinical research is preferred.
- Scientific publication experience is preferred; MD or PhD in life science is an advantage.
- Ability to understand and communicate in both English and Japanese in the assigned therapeutic area and in scientific interactions.
- Understanding of pharmaceutical-industry compliance, applicable laws, regulations, and adverse-event reporting responsibilities.
