What you will do
- Serve as the primary district-level resource for Trade Compliance and coordinate with regional, branch, and director-level compliance stakeholders.
- Manage the district Trade Compliance program, including training, monitoring, assessments, escalations, and employee guidance.
- Visit branches regularly to deliver training, assess compliance aptitude, review workflows, and communicate deficiencies.
- Run import and export compliance reports, identify anomalies, implement preventive controls, and support corrective actions.
- Track changes to applicable laws, regulations, directives, and company policies, and communicate updates across the district.
- Support customer and sales meetings and train, review, and potentially audit high-risk service providers.
Requirements
- English and one local language spoken in the district are required.
- Demonstrated understanding of applicable Trade Compliance laws and regulations, including sanctions, embargoes, denied-party screening, and export controls.
- Familiarity with GCI, CFIT, EDMS, ETMS, and other transaction systems, with a commitment to continued proficiency.
- Training or certification in IATA/FIATA, dangerous goods, C-TPAT, AEO, STP, and relevant import, export, or operational areas.
- Passing the IATA/FIATA examination, DG certification, and a customs broker or comparable country license where available.
- No impediment to travel to branches within the district; background and conflict-of-interest checks are required.
