Senior Manager - Benefits

Location: Hybrid in Chicago, Illinois, United States. The role manages U.S. benefits programs and supports programs in Mexico. No immigration sponsorship or transfer is available.

Salary: $130,000–$160,000 per year in Illinois.

What you will do

• Lead the administration and ongoing management of health, welfare, retirement, leave, and wellbeing programs.
• Own strategic relationships with benefits vendors, brokers, consultants, carriers, and third-party administrators.
• Lead annual enrollment strategy, communications, governance, audits, reporting, and compliance controls.
• Partner with Employee Experience, Payroll, HRIS, Finance, Legal, and HR leadership on operational initiatives.
• Manage vendor performance reviews, implementations, issue resolution, and benefits-related transformation projects.
• Coach and develop benefits team members while promoting accountability and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 8+ years of progressive benefits experience covering health, welfare, retirement, leave, and wellbeing programs.
• Current knowledge of international benefits administration, statutory requirements, and global benefits brokers and vendors.
• Experience managing multi-million-dollar benefits operations and leading vendor accountability and performance.
• Experience leading benefits vendor implementations and cross-functional initiatives involving Payroll, HRIS, Finance, and Legal.
• Technical expertise in HRIS platforms, benefits administration systems, and vendor integrations, with experience leading as a player-coach.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of people management experience.
• Experience in a multinational organization or supporting benefits programs abroad.
• Benefits consultancy or benefits brokerage experience.
• CEBS or a similar benefits certification.
• Oracle experience.
