Deployment Lead - Base Automation

Location: Flexible location across New Zealand; hybrid work with regular travel to manufacturing sites nationwide

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end Base Automation deployments at assigned manufacturing sites.
• Develop and manage integrated deployment plans, schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies, and milestones.
• Coordinate technical, operational, and people-change activities through implementation, transition, and go-live.
• Partner with site leaders and operational teams to build readiness, alignment, adoption, and sustainable outcomes.
• Coordinate automation specialists, engineers, vendors, and programme teams across the national deployment programme.
• Report deployment progress, escalate issues, manage competing priorities, and capture lessons learned.

Requirements

• Significant experience delivering large-scale projects or programmes in industrial, manufacturing, engineering, operational technology, or similarly complex environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across all organisational levels.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams, technical specialists, and delivery partners.
• Ability to translate technical requirements into clear delivery plans and stakeholder actions.
• Understanding of automation, operational technology, control systems, or manufacturing operations.
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly to manufacturing sites across New Zealand.
