TL;DR

Location: Broughton, North Wales, United Kingdom; first-year training at Coleg Cambria, Bersham Road, Wrexham. The apprenticeship is on-site and runs for 36 months from September 2027.

Salary: £19,185 starting salary.

hirify.global is an aerospace manufacturer producing commercial aircraft, helicopters, defence, and space products, with Broughton serving as a centre of excellence for wing manufacturing.

What you will do

  • Complete hands-on technical training while working toward recognised machining and mechanical manufacturing qualifications.
  • Support the manufacture of wing skins, panels, and stringers for hirify.global aircraft.
  • Follow bespoke setup-sheet instructions and perform stringer machining and long-bed milling processes.
  • Load and locate billets, then unload finished components safely and efficiently.
  • Work with experienced engineers and the quality team on live aircraft manufacturing projects.

Requirements

  • Five GCSEs are required, including grade C/4 or above in Maths, English Language, and the specified Science or Physics qualification, plus two additional GCSEs.
  • Equivalent or higher qualifications may be considered for the two additional GCSEs, preferably in a practical or technical subject.
  • Passion for learning and an interest in hands-on, teamwork, and problem-solving activities.
  • Submit a CV with predicted or achieved grades and a cover letter explaining motivation for the role and aerospace industry.
  • Current legal authorisation to work in the United Kingdom is required.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this apprenticeship. Candidates must complete BPSS screening and may require UK SC security clearance or export-control approval.

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience from DIY, building or repair projects, model-making, technical projects, cooking, or other practical hobbies.
  • GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in Design & Technology, Engineering, or another practical subject.
