System Internals Developer - macOS Platform Engineer (Cortex XDR)

What you will do

• Own macOS endpoint protection features from initial design through production release.
• Design and implement security architecture that detects and protects against malicious activity.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and internal OS technical specialists on platform integration.
• Research and adapt emerging technologies to improve the Cortex XDR product suite.
• Write design documents, software development guidelines, and engineering best practices.
• Use AI tools to improve development efficiency while critically evaluating their output.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with modern C++.
• Experience developing and maintaining complex software systems.
• Strong background in multithreaded and multiprocess software development.
• Deep understanding of OS internals and hands-on experience with system-level programming.
• Strong design, architecture, and problem-solving skills with an independent learning mindset.
• Practical experience using AI tools throughout the software development lifecycle.

Nice to have

• Experience developing software for macOS.
• Background in software security and vulnerability detection.
• Knowledge of Unix-style operating systems and their underlying architecture.
• Experience with Swift for Apple platforms.
