Child/Youth Program Coordinator (Youth Education)

Location: Onsite in Richmond, Virginia; no telework.

Salary: USD $50,000–$53,000 per year, with final determination based on skills, qualifications, and approved funding.

What you will do

• Plan and deliver educational youth curricula, workshops, camps, academic activities, and large- and small-scale events.
• Develop and adapt lesson plans, instructional materials, and learning experiences for school-aged youth.
• Create marketing materials and publications, prepare program reports, and communicate information verbally and in writing.
• Recruit, train, and manage state-level volunteers while building partnerships with youth service programs and organizations.
• Evaluate program effectiveness, analyze statistical data, and brief trend analyses.
• Ensure events meet learning objectives, military-family needs, and national performance metrics.

Requirements

• Onsite work in Richmond, Virginia is required; telework is not available.
• Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of post-secondary education and direct youth-programming experience.
• Experience in youth programming and development, including work with youth of different ages.
• Strong interpersonal communication, attention to detail, multitasking, prioritization, and deadline-management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Military experience, direct civilian experience in a military organization, or willingness to learn.
