Software Engineer I (Streaming Technologies)

Location: Kraków, Poland; full-time office work with the possibility of occasional remote work

What you will do

• Design, implement, and test software features for video streaming services and multimedia pipelines.
• Work with RTSP, RTP, WebRTC, GStreamer, and related technologies to deliver live and recorded video reliably.
• Investigate streaming issues involving connectivity, NAT traversal, latency, and stream quality.
• Analyze requirements, research new technologies, and improve existing video products.
• Own projects through successful completion and collaborate with Quality Assurance on test plans and deployments.

Requirements

• 0+ years of experience and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar engineering program, with strong academic performance.
• Strong programming skills in C or C++.
• Understanding of TCP/UDP, sockets, and NAT traversal fundamentals.
• Exposure to RTSP, RTP, WebRTC, ICE/TURN, GStreamer, or FFmpeg.
• Strong English proficiency with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical problem-solving skills, attention to detail, quality focus, and experience working in a team.

Nice to have

• Experience with C#/.NET and Linux development environments.
• Familiarity with video codecs and containers, including H.264/H.265 and RTP payload formats.
