Salary: USD $119,800–$234,700 per year across the U.S.; USD $160,200–$261,000 per year in the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area.

What you will do

• Develop data collection, model evaluation, and post-training methods.
• Contribute to all stages of the model training process, from data acquisition to recipe improvement.
• Apply reward modeling, reinforcement learning, and other post-training techniques.
• Design hypotheses and experiment plans to iterate rapidly on model performance.
• Collaborate with engineers and scientists on next-generation AI models.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline, plus 4+ years of technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
• Professional coding experience with languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Experience with reward modeling, reinforcement learning, or other post-training techniques.
• Ability to collaborate in an interdisciplinary engineering and research environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with large-scale AI.
• Experience or interest in conversational AI and its deployment.
• Knowledge of emerging AI technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
