Run Perception Graduate Internship, R&D - Winter 2027

Location: On-site at Brooks HQ in Seattle, Washington, United States. Six-month internship starting January 12, 2026, with a schedule of up to 40 hours per week. Candidates must commit to the full duration and be physically present at HQ.

Salary: $33.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Support internal and external perception testing for inline footwear and sourcing teams.
• Recruit targeted participants, create perception surveys, analyze qualitative results, and synthesize findings into clear product insights.
• Prepare and present scientific reports in PowerPoint based on runner feedback.
• Conduct graduate-level Run Perception studies and develop improved testing procedures for athletic products.
• Mine more than three million words of historical perception feedback in Tableau dashboards and use AI-powered tools to identify patterns and recommend product improvements.
• Build relationships with product testers, support the perception testing community on Facebook, and present an internship project to senior leadership.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in biomechanics, kinesiology, exercise science, or an equivalent analytical field.
• Commitment to six months of onsite work in Seattle, Washington, with up to 40 hours per week physically present at HQ.
• Strong verbal and written communication, listening, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong quantitative skills, including report building, data mining, data interpretation, and research.
• Detail-oriented approach and willingness to learn, work hands-on, and contribute to product and process improvement.

Nice to have

• Product creation or running retail experience.
• Understanding of the Brooks product line and competitors.
• Experience using AI for data analysis support or brainstorming.
