Quality Control Specialist (Biotech)

Location: Milton Park, United Kingdom; 5-day on-site expectation

What you will do

• Perform routine and non-routine QC testing of samples according to SOPs and established methods.
• Maintain cell lines through regular revival and passaging, and complete reagent preparation and other laboratory activities.
• Receive QC samples and materials, maintain inventories, order supplies, and perform equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Lead the introduction of new equipment and participate in equipment validation, method transfers, validation, and stability activities.
• Write, update, and review SOPs, protocols, forms, deviations, CAPAs, and change controls; support OOS and OOT investigations.
• Support audits and regulatory inspections, maintain GMP-compliant training records, and train junior team members on methods and processes.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or another related science.
• At least 3 years of laboratory-based experience in a similar environment.
• Understanding of GMP and GDP requirements.
• Analytical skills, attention to detail, computer literacy including Microsoft Word and Excel, and strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
• Ability to work on-site in Milton Park five days per week.
