Security Assurance Manager

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid working with in-person collaboration in the office and remote work.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and continuously improve the security assurance capability.
• Develop pragmatic, risk-based methodologies, testing approaches, assurance plans, and reporting.
• Assess the design and operating effectiveness of security controls and communicate evidence-based findings.
• Track findings through remediation and validate that identified issues have been addressed.
• Support TISAX, ISO 21434, external assessments, certifications, and customer assurance activities.
• Partner with the Security Analytics Engineer to automate evidence collection and evolve assurance toward continuous validation.

Requirements

• Experience designing, building, or operating security or controls assurance in modern technology organisations.
• Strong understanding of security controls and how to evaluate their design and operating effectiveness.
• Experience in cloud-native, SaaS-heavy environments and collaboration with engineering teams.
• Experience developing assurance methodologies, performing control testing, and communicating outcomes to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to challenge control effectiveness independently while building collaborative relationships and influencing stakeholders.
• Pragmatic approach balancing governance with the needs of a fast-moving, engineering-led organisation.

Nice to have

• Experience with TISAX, ISO 21434, ISO 27001, SOC 2, or similar frameworks.
• Experience evolving assurance from periodic assessments toward continuous assurance.
• Professional certification such as CISA or ISO 27001 Lead Auditor.

• Competency interview with the hiring manager and 60-minute technical deep-dive interviews.
