TL;DR
Simulation Runtime Engineer (C++/Python): Developing and supporting runtime components, APIs, tools, and integrations for simulation, digital twin, robotics, and autonomy workloads with an accent on physics integration, packaging, automated testing, and performance optimization. Focus on integrating Unreal Engine, NVIDIA Omniverse, Isaac Sim, and physics engines while improving CPU/GPU performance, runtime stability, and end-to-end simulation workflows.

Location: Onsite in Irving, Texas, five days per week. Domestic relocation assistance is available. Visa sponsorship is available for eligible applicants.

Salary: $97,530–$158,480 per year

What you will do

  • Develop and maintain simulation runtime components, reusable libraries, services, tools, and integrations using C++ and Python.
  • Implement simulation startup, configuration, lifecycle management, execution, shutdown, error handling, and results collection.
  • Integrate runtime systems with Unreal Engine, NVIDIA Omniverse, Isaac Sim, physics engines, scenario systems, and platform services.
  • Create APIs, SDKs, configuration interfaces, command-line tools, developer utilities, and packaging workflows.
  • Build automated unit, integration, regression, and performance tests and support CI/CD, dependency management, deployment, and releases.
  • Profile and improve CPU, GPU, memory, startup, throughput, latency, and runtime stability while collaborating with simulation, rendering, digital twin, platform, and QA engineers.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of software engineering experience; relevant academic, research, internship, or project experience may be considered.
  • Software development experience with C++, Python, C#, Java, or another relevant language, plus strong data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design fundamentals.
  • Experience with Linux, Git, build systems, debugging tools, automated testing, and CI/CD workflows.
  • Understanding of APIs, SDKs, software packaging, dependency management, configuration systems, and integration testing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, or a related discipline.
  • Ability to work onsite full-time at the Irving, Texas office five days per week.

Nice to have

  • Experience with simulation, game engines, robotics, physics engines, distributed systems, or real-time software.
  • Exposure to Unreal Engine, NVIDIA Omniverse, Isaac Sim, Unity, Gazebo, AirSim, CARLA, or comparable tools.
  • Experience with Docker, cloud environments, GPU-enabled applications, or performance optimization.
