Software Engineer (Simulation)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain production-quality simulation components in modern C++ and Python.
• Integrate driving-stack components, simulated robot systems, and new vehicle-platform capabilities.
• Support simulation configurations, initially focusing on high-scale open-loop evaluation.
• Investigate differences between on-road and simulated execution across data flows, interfaces, timing, inference, and configuration.
• Improve automated testing, observability, reproducibility, reliability, debuggability, and developer tooling.
• Profile simulator workloads and improve performance and scalability while collaborating with adjacent engineering teams.

Requirements

• Professional experience delivering and maintaining production software in a collaborative engineering environment.
• Strong C++ and Python development skills, with depth in at least one language and effective working ability in both.
• Relevant experience in simulation, robotics, autonomous systems, or other complex systems with interacting software components.
• Understanding of software and data-oriented design, maintainable architecture, debugging, interfaces, data flows, timing, and failure modes.
• Knowledge of software performance issues and pragmatic design trade-offs.
• Experience using GenAI development tools and validating their output, together with strong communication and collaboration skills.

Hiring process
