Intern Engineering

Location: On-site in Sussex, Waukesha, Pewaukee, or other hirify.global plant locations throughout Wisconsin, USA

What you will do

• Design, validate, and support new products through development and commercialization.
• Support generator and power tool product development across industrial, commercial, residential, and retail applications.
• Create and maintain CAD models, engineering drawings, bills of materials, product specifications, and design documentation.
• Design, test, and integrate standard components while evaluating cost, reliability, safety, and overall design effectiveness.
• Develop and evaluate fitness-for-use testing and process validation plans.
• Collaborate with manufacturing partners, contract manufacturers, designers, product specialists, and internal stakeholders; travel to other hirify.global facilities when needed.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Understanding of basic electrical concepts and ability to read and interpret electrical and electronic schematics.
• Experience with programming languages that communicate with electronic hardware.
• Clear and concise oral and written communication skills.
• Availability to work full-time, 40 hours per week, from May/June through August 2027.

Nice to have

• Completion of sophomore year.
• Interest or experience in electrical systems, controls engineering, embedded systems, or power electronics.
