Software Engineer, Mobile SDK

Location: Hybrid in Austin, Texas

What you will do

• Define client architecture and public APIs for native iOS and Android mobile security SDKs.
• Build lightweight, testable, documented foundations that customer engineering teams can integrate and operate.
• Set standards for mobile compatibility, diagnostics, performance, binary size, battery use, startup time, and release quality.
• Partner with product, engineering, backend, edge, and security teams to turn security problems into dependable developer products.
• Diagnose complex customer integration issues across applications, SDKs, networks, and services without exposing sensitive data.
• Mentor mobile engineers and guide technical decisions through design reviews, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Deep production experience with either iOS and Swift or Android and Kotlin, plus enough familiarity with the other ecosystem to guide shared architecture.
• Experience designing or owning customer-distributed SDKs, libraries, or developer-facing products.
• Knowledge of mobile platform security, including app and device integrity, secure key storage, application signing, authentication, and secure communications.
• Familiarity with mobile networking stacks, HTTP APIs, package distribution, compatibility, dependency management, and reliable release practices.
• Experience writing technical designs, aligning decisions across multiple engineering functions, and mentoring engineers.
• Availability for a hybrid role in Austin, Texas; offer-stage candidates may be asked to attend an in-person interview at a company office or hub.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating native SDKs with React Native or Flutter.
• Familiarity with C++ or Rust for high-performance cross-platform security modules.
