TL;DR
Senior Quality Engineer (AI) (Playwright/WebdriverIO, TypeScript/JavaScript/Python): Building and maintaining full-stack automated test frameworks for AI-powered education software with an accent on UI, API, service-layer, and non-deterministic LLM testing. Focus on defining testable acceptance criteria, identifying release risks, validating internal and third-party AI tools, and mentoring quality engineers.
Location: Remote — Argentina, Brazil, Chile, or Costa Rica

What you will do
- Own quality engineering across a scrum team, from story validation and test planning through production release support.
- Build and maintain automated regression frameworks across UI, API, and service layers using AI-assisted development practices.
- Test complex front-end applications, cloud-based back-end services, internally built LLMs, and third-party AI tools.
- Identify quality risks, refine ambiguous requirements into testable acceptance criteria, and communicate coverage gaps, release risks, and defect trends.
- Establish defect documentation, triage, tracking, and production escalation practices.
- Mentor mid-level quality engineers through code reviews, pairing, and hands-on guidance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software testing and QA experience in an Agile Scrum environment.
- 5+ years building test frameworks with TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python, including hands-on experience with Playwright or WebdriverIO.
- Experience with manual, exploratory, regression, integration, API/service, database, and end-to-end browser testing.
- Knowledge of Git branching, pull-request workflows, incremental CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, and AWS.
- Hands-on use of AI coding assistants such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot, with strong critical thinking and quality ownership.
- Industry experience in EdTech, SaaS/B2B software, or e-learning platforms.
Nice to have
- Experience with Jest, Vitest, or Mocha; k6, JMeter, or Locust; Datadog, Sentry, or New Relic; and TestRail, Jira, Xray, or Zephyr.
