AWS Data Engineer (AI)

Location: 5 days onsite in Birmingham, Alabama; Knoxville, Tennessee; Columbia, South Carolina; or Lafayette, Louisiana

What you will do

• Develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise risk analytics applications in a large-scale financial services environment.
• Build and improve cloud-based data pipelines and analytics solutions using AWS technologies.
• Develop ETL and data processing workflows with Amazon Redshift and AWS Glue.
• Design automation and CI/CD practices for reliable data solution delivery.
• Troubleshoot complex data issues and provide production support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive solutions from requirements through implementation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on AWS data engineering experience.
• Experience with Amazon Redshift, data processing, and performance optimization.
• Hands-on experience developing ETL and data pipelines with AWS Glue.
• Strong Python development skills and advanced SQL skills for large datasets.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated deployment, enterprise-scale data applications, data quality, troubleshooting, and production support.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field.

Nice to have

• Exposure to Generative AI and AI-enabled automation use cases.
• Financial services, enterprise risk, or risk analytics experience.
