Sterilizing Technician I-Operating Room Full Time Evenings (Healthcare)

Location: 4201 Medical Center Dr., McHenry, Illinois, United States. On-site, weekday evening schedule from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., with on-call and holiday commitments.

Salary: USD 18.33–27.50 per hour

What you will do

• Clean, disinfect, decontaminate, and sterilize medical instruments and equipment.
• Receive, package, stock, store, and distribute instruments and equipment.
• Perform and document quality assurance testing and inspections.
• Inventory and reorder supplies.
• Dispose of biohazardous substances, chemicals, medical waste, and unusable equipment safely.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.
• Availability for the 3:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m. Monday–Friday schedule, on-call duties, and holidays.
• Background check required, including criminal history review in accordance with applicable Illinois and federal laws.

Nice to have

• Certification as a Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT).
• Two or more years of experience.
