IT Infrastructure Engineer (Windows, Active Directory & VMware): Designing, implementing, and maintaining Windows and Linux infrastructure supporting global pharmaceutical clinical-trial operations with an accent on Active Directory, virtualization, backup, monitoring, and patch management. Focus on leading infrastructure projects, troubleshooting complex systems, optimizing performance, and coordinating cross-domain platform initiatives.
Location: Prague, Czechia; full-time employment based in Czechia

What you will do
- Design, implement, maintain, and improve Windows and Linux server infrastructure.
- Manage virtualization, storage, backup, monitoring, patch management, configuration management, and access control platforms.
- Administer Windows Active Directory and Public Key Infrastructure services.
- Support enterprise applications and services, including email and business systems.
- Lead small and medium-sized infrastructure projects and contribute to larger cross-domain initiatives.
- Perform infrastructure qualification, validation, troubleshooting, performance optimization, asset inventory, vendor coordination, and technical documentation.
Requirements
- University degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Full professional proficiency in English, written and spoken.
- Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server and Active Directory.
- Experience administering Windows and/or Linux servers and working with virtualization technologies.
- Experience with PKI, email or MTA technologies, backup and disaster recovery, monitoring, patch management, and configuration management.
- Experience designing, implementing, and managing infrastructure projects, troubleshooting complex issues, and maintaining detailed technical documentation.
Nice to have
- Experience with VMware, Proxmox, Hyper-V, Microsoft Azure, hybrid infrastructure, Azure Arc, or Azure Update Manager.
- Experience with Zabbix, PowerShell, infrastructure automation, Microsoft Exchange, Sendmail, Postfix, Veeam, or similar technologies.
- Familiarity with ITIL, change management, qualification, validation processes, or relevant infrastructure certifications.
