TL;DR
IT Infrastructure Engineer (Windows, Active Directory & VMware) (Enterprise Infrastructure): Designing, implementing, and maintaining global Windows and Linux infrastructure with an accent on Active Directory, virtualization, backup, and infrastructure management. Focus on leading infrastructure projects, executing upgrades, troubleshooting complex systems, and optimizing enterprise platforms.
Location: Porto, Portugal; full-time employment based in Portugal

What you will do
- Design, implement, maintain, and improve Windows and Linux server infrastructure.
- Manage virtualization, storage, backup, monitoring, patch management, configuration management, and access control platforms.
- Administer Windows Active Directory and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
- Support enterprise applications and services, including email and business systems.
- Lead small and medium-sized infrastructure projects and contribute to larger cross-domain initiatives.
- Perform infrastructure qualification, validation, troubleshooting, performance optimization, asset management, vendor coordination, and technical documentation.
Requirements
- University degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Full professional proficiency in English, written and spoken.
- Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server and Active Directory.
- Experience administering Windows and/or Linux servers, virtualization technologies, enterprise infrastructure services, PKI, and email/MTA technologies.
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery, monitoring, patch management, configuration management, infrastructure projects, and complex troubleshooting.
- Ability to maintain detailed technical documentation.
Nice to have
- Experience with VMware, Proxmox, Hyper-V, Microsoft Azure, hybrid infrastructure, Azure Arc, or Azure Update Manager.
- Experience with Zabbix, PowerShell, infrastructure automation, Microsoft Exchange, Sendmail, or Postfix.
- Experience with Veeam or similar backup technologies.
- Familiarity with ITIL, change management, qualification, validation processes, and relevant infrastructure certifications.
