Reporting Actuary (80-100%)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid work with an expectation to be in the office at least three days per week

Salary: GBP 62,000-94,000 base salary per year for a full-time role, plus performance-based variable compensation

What you will do

• Support quarterly valuation processes for specific Life & Health lines of business.
• Process cashflows and prepare accurate reserve and income statement submissions under IFRS17 and Swiss statutory bases.
• Analyse and explain reserves, P&L movements, and assumption changes.
• Coordinate technical manual overlays with Finance and Operations teams.
• Support assumption reviews, business plan reviews, expense and lag factor reviews, and data KPI analysis.
• Collaborate across functions, oversee workflow, and mentor junior team members.

Requirements

• Qualified or nearly qualified actuary with at least 5 years of Life & Health valuation or pricing experience in reinsurance, insurance, or consulting.
• Strong IFRS17 knowledge and experience applying it to Life & Health valuation or financial reporting.
• Experience with actuarial modelling and proficiency in MS Excel.
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work effectively across the Life & Health value chain, including with non-actuaries, and deliver under tight timelines.

Nice to have

• Experience with Power BI or database tools.
• Familiarity with EV, MCEV, or Solvency II frameworks.
