PTC Windchill Developer

Location: 100% remote within the United States

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 annually

What you will do

• Design and develop Windchill customizations using the Windchill Java API and PTC-recommended patterns.
• Build listeners, services, processors, Info*Engine tasks, adapters, JSP/HTML extensions, workflows, lifecycle templates, and object initialization rules.
• Develop Windchill business reports using report templates and Cognos integration.
• Implement legacy PLM data migrations, optimize custom code and database queries, and support Windchill upgrades.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs through fit-gap analysis and collaborate with product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders.
• Provide hypercare, issue triage, root-cause analysis, technical documentation, code and design reviews, and mentorship for junior and mid-level engineers.

Requirements

• Must be eligible to work in the United States; U.S. Citizens, Green Card Holders, EAD Holders, and H-1B transfer candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 12 or more years of PTC Windchill development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with the Windchill Java API, workflows, lifecycle templates, object initialization rules, Info*Engine, and integration patterns.
• Experience with JSP/HTML client customization, SQL, the Windchill data model, upgrades, and migrations.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• PTC Windchill certifications.
• Experience with Creo, Arbortext, Windchill RV&S, ThingWorx, or CAD data management workflows.
• Experience operating Windchill on cloud platforms.
