TL;DR
GK Developer (Retail POS): Designing, developing, and supporting GK POS and retail store commerce solutions across a retail store network with an accent on transaction processing, payments, integrations, and production reliability. Focus on integrating POS with ERP, OMS, payment gateways, and ecommerce platforms, resolving complex incidents, and driving root cause analysis and SLA adherence.

What you will do
- Design, develop, maintain, and support GK POS and GK Retail Store Commerce solutions for transactions, payments, returns, promotions, and receipts.
- Provide production support, including incident management, major incident handling, root cause analysis, problem management, and release or defect triage.
- Develop and maintain integrations between GK POS and ERP, OMS, payment gateway, and ecommerce platforms.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, store operations, vendors, architects, and engineering teams to define requirements and deliver enhancements.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues through log analysis and system diagnostics.
- Drive operational excellence, SLA adherence, RCA quality, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience with retail or QSR POS systems and store operations.
- Hands-on GK POS, GK Retail Store Commerce, or comparable POS technical and functional experience.
- Hands-on experience with Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, SQL, and Node.js.
- Strong understanding of POS architecture, transaction processing, payments, returns, promotions, receipts, recovery workflows, and POS integrations.
- Strong production support, stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Nice to have
- Vue.js, JavaScript, or TypeScript experience.
- Knowledge of omnichannel retail operations.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with Grafana, Dynatrace, Splunk, CloudWatch, Kubernetes, Docker, or containerized application support.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and functional architecture.
