Senior Manager, Cost Engineering/DtV (MedTech)

Location: Titusville, New Jersey, United States; Zug, Switzerland; Cork, Ireland; Leiden, Netherlands; Beerse, Belgium; or Latina, Italy

Salary: $122,000–$212,750 base pay annually, plus performance-based incentives and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead the Innovative Medicine Cost Engineering and design-to-value center of excellence in support of Supply Chain, Procurement, and R&D.
• Establish and govern cost engineering structures across Innovative Medicine supply chain categories.
• Lead critical cost engineering initiatives and support business transformation strategies.
• Develop cost opportunity strategies with cross-functional teams using cost modeling, supplier cost transparency, and strategic cost management.
• Build should-cost models, design-for-value benchmarks, and global cost benchmarks for commodities and products.
• Oversee cost engineering digital technologies, training priorities, onboarding, mentoring, and development of cost engineering resources.

Requirements

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Biological Sciences.
• At least 15 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of multiple manufacturing technologies.
• At least 5 years of practical should-cost modeling experience in a manufacturing company.
• Broad knowledge of biotechnology, pharmaceutical, chemical, and/or packaging manufacturing processes.
• Negotiation, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-influence skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a complex, highly matrixed virtual organization with changing priorities and tight deadlines.

Nice to have

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• CPSM certification.
• Knowledge of activity-based cost accounting for product cost modeling and analytics.
