TL;DR
Platform Operations Engineer (AWS): Maintaining reliable, secure, and efficient enterprise platforms with an accent on AWS infrastructure, monitoring, automation, and incident response. Focus on building Terraform-based infrastructure, developing CI/CD pipelines, improving platform security, and supporting 24/7 operations.

What you will do
- Monitor platform health, performance, availability, and infrastructure resources across servers, networks, and storage.
- Perform patching, updates, backups, configuration changes, maintenance, and platform documentation.
- Investigate and resolve platform and security incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Build and maintain automation scripts, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD pipelines for platform deployments and operational changes.
- Collaborate with engineering, development, QA, and SecOps teams to support application operations, security controls, vulnerability remediation, and compliance.
- Participate in an on-call rotation providing 24/7 support for critical platform issues.
Requirements
- Proven experience in platform operations and DevOps.
- Experience with Linux or other Unix-based operating systems.
- Good knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, ECS, and Lambda.
- Strong experience with Terraform and GitHub, plus CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.
- Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, scripting, or programming skills using Python, Bash, or similar technologies.
Nice to have
- AWS Solutions Architect or HashiCorp Terraform Associate certification.
- ITIL Foundation or Managing Professional certification.
- Experience with Identity and Access Management, Zero Trust, ISO 27001, SOC 2, or GDPR.
- Experience with programming languages or frameworks used on the platform.
