What you will do
- Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software applications for medical devices.
- Deliver automated and manual verification against functional and performance requirements.
- Contribute to software architecture, design reviews, technical discussions, and engineering documentation.
- Troubleshoot software defects and customer-reported issues while delivering reliable software within project timelines.
- Collaborate with software, hardware, systems, quality, product, and clinical teams in an Agile environment.
- Improve development processes, tools, and engineering practices, taking ownership of tasks and occasionally leading smaller workstreams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer engineering, computer science, a related discipline, or equivalent practical knowledge.
- Commercial software application development experience.
- Proficiency in C++ and/or Python for application and test software development.
- Understanding of software design, code reviews, debugging, testing, CI/CD, and automated build environments.
- Knowledge of Agile development and familiarity with GitHub, Bitbucket, Jira, or Confluence.
- Ability to translate customer and product requirements into technical solutions and communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
Nice to have
- 3+ years of experience developing embedded C/C++ software using object-oriented programming.
- Experience with Jenkins and GitHub Actions workflows.
- Exposure to medical devices, healthcare, or another regulated industry.
- Experience with Test-Driven Development and automated testing methodologies.
