Embedded Software Engineer (IoT)

What you will do

• Develop applications that demonstrate the benefits of 802.11ah and help customers bring products to market.
• Collaborate with internal and external customers to deliver robust technical solutions.
• Build software tools, libraries, SDKs, demos, and documentation for HaLow-based products.
• Provide upstream development feedback to improve product quality.
• Lead complex technical projects and implement features, modules, and infrastructure.
• Mentor team members and track the competitive technology landscape.

Requirements

• 2+ years of relevant embedded software experience.
• In-depth knowledge of Embedded C and embedded systems, including drivers and board ports.
• Experience with sockets programming and hardware interfaces such as GPIO, SPI, SDIO, and I2C.
• Ability to debug with GDB, logic analyzers, and Wireshark.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and software development skills.

Nice to have

• Linux kernel and driver development, network applications, and Wi-Fi networking experience.
• Knowledge of the OSI model, Ethernet routing, forwarding, and bridging.
• Working knowledge of Python, Bash, Makefile, OpenWrt, or Buildroot.
• Experience with FreeRTOS or similar RTOS, bootloaders, device drivers, interrupt handlers, and DMA.
• Experience with static analysis, automated testing, profiling, performance analysis, or spectrum analyzers.
